This service provides access to Chado XML for all data objects that exist in the FlyBase database. Chado XML (http://gmod.org/wiki/Chado_XML) is an XML representation of data from a Chado (http://gmod.org/wiki/Chado) database. Using this service you can fetch anything that has been assigned FBxx ID including genes, alleles, insertions, transcripts, proteins, publications, etc... The FlyBase Chado XML web service can fetch objects via either primary ID or symbol. It does not fetch objects using secondary IDs or synonyms. If your list contains secondary IDs or synonyms we suggest that you first run your list through our ID Converter tool (http://flybase.org/static_pages/downloads/ID...

Citedin finds where you are cited! Some of your papers may have been mentioned where you didn't expect that to happen: in blogs, databases, Wikipedia. Citedin finds them all. Through this website you can track various resources citing a PubMed Identifier

Dbfetch is an acronym for "database fetch". Dbfetch provides an easy way to retrieve entries from various databases at the EBI in a consistent manner. It can be used from any browser as well as well as within a web-aware scripting tool that uses wget, lynx or similar. The dbfetch service is a partial implementation of the OBDA (http://obda.open-bio.org/) biofetch specification.

To the best of our knowledge, the OBRC is the largest online collection of its kind and the only one to offer unique search features and a novel search-results display. With the OBRC, users can • browse a continually updated, expert verified collection of bioinformatics databases and software tools categorized into useful topics and subtopics • identify databases and tools using an intuitive search engine that not only provides a quick overview of all search results, but also demonstrates how the search results are related to each other via organization into topical clusters • select the best bioinformatics software tools based on community-utilization as represented by citation cou...

The system is developed on top of the Apache Lucene project framework, which is an Open-source, high-performance, full-featured text search engine library written entirely in Java. It uses this technology to index EBI databases in various formats (e.g. flatfiles, XML dumps, OBO format, etc.) and provides very fast access to the EBI's data resources. The system allows the user to search globally across all EBI databases or individually in selected resources by using an Advance search. Additional features of the system also uses software developed by the Carrot2 Project.
